UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

It’s a day of thrills at LA’s Universal Studios.  Perhaps a bit extravagant but to avoid road rage, we paid an extra $76 for the hotel shuttle direct to the park which I think is well worth the money since the closest on-site parking will set you back $30 for the day.

Main entrance

Lovely art deco features all over the park

Universal Studios is great, a combination of exciting rides and a brilliant 1 hour studio tour taking you round the various stage sets many of which are in use for filming every day.

Amity Island beach sign from the Jaws set

Plane wreckage from the War of the Worlds set

The Bates Motel set

We searched for dinosaurs on the Jurassic Park ride.

Doyouthinkhesaurus?

Saved the world in Transformers

This ride was awesome!

Look out here comes Megatron

Lived through the Mummy's Revenge - a scary roller-coaster ride complete with mummy's and scarab beetles.

This was hair raising!

And were ‘minionised’ in Despicable Me.

Don't you just love minions

It’s the most fun you can have in Los Angeles.

Stage 13

Everybody needs somebody

Waterworld

Heading south to San Diego tomorrow for a day at Sea World.
