Los Angeles, city of angels and you have to be one in order
to forgive the crazy fools overtaking you both inside and out on the freeway as
we crawled the 8 miles from Santa Monica to West Hollywood in what appeared to
be 6 lane grid lock. The traffic is
every bit as bad as we feared.

Blagged an early check in at the Best Western Sunset Plaza
Hotel, our home for the next couple of nights leaving us the rest of the day to
explore the sights of the legendary Hollywood Boulevard.

Room 109 - we each have our own huge bed! |
As luck would have it, the no 2 bus to Hollywood &
Highland stopped right outside of the hotel and I was secretly relieved. No-one wants to waste valuable grockle time
roasting in a rental car since it seems only the clinically insane or those too
poor to buy cars walk in L.A.

There’s only so much sightseeing you can do in a day so
chilling out in the hotel pool for the rest of the afternoon. I’m
starting to look and feel like a Mexican, my face is slowly turning that dirty
brown colour and I’m craving tacos.
